Catalonia Goya Hotel - Madrid

The breakfast is tasty and enjoyable with fruits and pastries, for instance, lots to choose from. The king room is new-fashioned and has an iron and a balcony. The location is marvellous and stunning, close to a subway station.

The size of the junior suite was excellent, providing ample space to relax. Walking to nearby restaurants and shops was convenient.

easy access to parks and major attractions for perfect city strolls

I stayed for 5 nights and was thrilled by the easy access to Retiro Park, just a short walk away, and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning with an excellent selection of options. As a solo traveler, it was great to find such a comfortable room with a large TV and friendly, helpful staff, but there was a noticeable smell of tobacco in my room that could use addressing.

The Catalonia chain of hotels in Spain seems to be wonderful. Catalonia Goya is situated at a good location amongst busy shops. Massimo Dutti is literally just next door. The rooms although not lavish, were very clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast is also not bad in Europe hotel terms. There was a choice of warm or cold breakfast and the warm breakfast was cooked fresh and by order.

One slow and old lift.

the location was perfect (just above the metro station!). quiet, clean rooms and very polite staff that speaks english.

The reception area lacks appeal and needs better design!!! There's also a pressing need for improved maintenance on all levels!!!

Location is great, the hotel itself is not excellent, but good enough

I loved the cozy room with a big TV and enjoyed good breakfasts each morning with fresh fruits and pastries. The hotel has a great pool area and a lovely leisure room for relaxation after sightseeing. While the lobby could use more seating, it didn't dampen my stay one bit. I'd definitely suggest checking it out 😊

The staff was extremely helpful, services and facilities were good. Reasonable price.The location is great, it is located within walking distances to best Madrid areas; not only business and shopping but cultural areas too.

Due to the location, some of the rooms can be too noisy.
